Where is The Vino Van Based?
We are based in Marlborough but being mobile we like to travel.  We can attend any event from Kaikoura to Nelson including the Marlborough Sounds.

What do you provide?
We custom design a package to suit your needs – we will deliver The Vino Van to your site and provide bar staff, ice, water and non-alcoholic punch and set up your preferred beverages ready for service.  We will style The Vino Van to ensure he compliments your event.

How do I secure a booking?
Contact us for your quotation stating the date, venue, number of people attending and any special requests.  We will respond with a quote and you will need to confirm your booking within 7 days of receiving this to secure your booking.  A 50% deposit needs to be received before your booking will be confirmed.  The remaining 50% will need to be paid into our account two weeks before your event.

How long does it take to set up?
We like to have The Vino Van set up at least an hour prior to the start of your event – a longer set up may be required depending on your venue and any special requests you may have.  The set up time does not cut into the service time you are paying for.

What drinks can be served?
This is totally up to you – we are here to serve anything you require.  We have two kegs which can be used for beer, cider or anything that you can source in a keg.  Our fridge is set up for wine, champagne, bottled beer, juice, soft drinks.  We can also make cocktails should this be required.

Do you sell alcohol?
We do not have a special license to do this due to our mobile nature – The Vino Van serves the drinks you or your event organiser supplies.  This is a bonus as you can pick your favourite drinks, buy them when they are on special and not pay corkage or inflated bar prices.  You also get to take home anything leftover.

How are drinks kept chilled?
We have a 2 metre glass door chiller in The Vino Van.  We can also provide chilly bins outside of The Vino Van.  We do suggest for larger events that a chiller is hired or access to other fridges.  We will re-stock The Vino Van throughout the event.

Do you provide Glassware?
You will need to provide your own glassware – this can be hired.  We will collect empties throughout the night but do not have facilities to wash and re-use so we suggest that your guests hold onto their glasses throughout the night.
We can provide disposable drinkware at an additional cost if required.

How is The Vino Van Powered?
We need to be able to plug into a power source if we are using the drinks chiller.  We have a 15 metre long extension cord that plugs into a normal power source.  We can use additional extension cords or could hook into a generator if need be – this would be need to be supplied separately.

Do you offer table service?
We prefer to serve from The Vino Van which is a great way to get guests up and mingling and also cuts back on the alcohol costs as there are not half drunk bottles left on tables.  We are able to do table service if required during speeches when it is not ideal for guests to be getting up and walking around should this be required.  We will be clearing empties and tidying up around the venue during your event.

Can The Vino Van attend an event in a public park?
Yes, however you will need to obtain relevant permits from council and landowners.

Do you take away empties?
No, sorry we do not have room.  We recommend you provide dedicated areas, bins for the empties and these are removed after your event.

Where can you park?
Pretty much anywhere that you could want us – we do require flat ground to set up and serve from.  We will need clear access to the site and when we leave the location.  The Vino Van is fairly light so can be pushed into position should it be required.  We can even be positioned inside a building or marquee!

What happens at the end of the event?
Once the agreed serving hours are complete we will do a quick tidy up of the area and re-pack any left over alcohol into the boxes provided to leave for you.  If you are using the keg facilities we can pour any leftovers into riggers or similar for you to enjoy later.  These will need to be provided by yourself.  We will need clear access to be able hook The Vino Van up to the tow vehicle so he can begin his journey home.
